Women Empowerment

The freedom to dream, to dare and to do. The freedom to shape society and not simply be shaped by it. This is empowerment the need of the hour.
Isn’t everyone born equal with the right to freedom of thought, of expression and of action? Then why do women play second fiddle trying to get a foothold into moulding the nation into a progressive one. It’s only a woman-who can tackle almost every situation intelligently, compassionately and sensitively with her usual presence of mind.
And don’t you think it is time that women were empowered and took over the reins since this is now the need of the hour.
Yes, if women are empowered they will play a pivotal role in the future of humanity as women hold the key to solving the most catastrophic human problems with sympathy and equanimity.
If women are not empowered then the mass of unemployable and illiterate people will grow and investments will flow out of the country to places where opportunities are better.
Women hold the key to social contentment not because they are naturally peace loving the Iron ladies Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher have freed us of this notion but because they know most of the human conditions at the grass root level. The women have the potential to prevent violence as they are born creators and at no cost can stand destruction which in today’s scenario exists so rampantly. I strongly feel that in order to establish a conductive environment women empowerment is the need of the hour. Since it is very evident that with mere psyche and ego maintaining peace is highly unlikely.
A woman not only rocks the cradle but in times of decision is most decisive, in times of need is most compassionate and sensitive, a person who with her firm will power makes the impossible possible, a person when treated right till her last breath strives to comfort others but if offended never forgives, the one who is receptive, sympathetic and creative. All together a person who is highly adaptable and versatile. Now when the world is on the verge of total annihilation who could be a better choice than a woman to be savior?
The choice is upto us either women get power in the society or the world PERISHES.
Women have proved their versatility in all the fields be they as diverse as politics and literature, science and art, social work and adventure. The names that spring to our mind are Indira Gandhi, Arundhati Roy, Kalpana Chawla, Kiran Bedi, P.t. Usha, the list is endless. If a handful of women have made so much difference then one can imagine how much more progress and success can be achieved if all women are give legal rights and education.
Education because without education empowerment is not only meaningless but could be disastrous. Women should be empowered and allowed to express themselves freely and without inhibitions. As long as women are not allowed to take part in public life there can be no salvation for the country.
